LOVE on the Plaza tonight!!

FREE Artwalk and Valentine Events!

Every second Friday of every month, the Plaza District hosts "Live on the Plaza". Live on the Plaza is a monthly art walk event which promotes emerging artistic talent in the Oklahoma City area. Plaza District businesses open their doors with monthly visual artists, performing artists, live musicians and local film screenings. Many special events also take place during LIVE on the Plaza, such as Lyric Theatre performaces, CD releases, private parties, holiday retail events and many more. LIVE on the Plaza provides the community an opportunity to view emerging talent each month, as well as socialize with a diverse mix of artists, professionals, neighborhood residents and families.

Tonight, being that this is Valentine's Day weekend, Live on the Plaza has turned into LOVE on the Plaza!! Feb 12th (TONIGHT) from 7-11 PM

Bring your valentine, grab a date or gather your pals to indulge in the art walk with a romantic twist! It will be an all out cheesy romantic night filled with photo booths, a Plaza Prom, and a kissing booth! So much heart-felt fun! And the walk is FREE! So come check out the best of what Oklahoma City has to offer tonight!

Activities for tonight's LOVE on the Plaza include:

The Velvet Monkey Salon is having an art show with artwork by Josh Heilaman! Be sure to check out the Velvet Monkey Sweetheart Salon specials as well and support your monkeys!

Next door, head to Collected Thread and grab a peck at the Plaza Kissing Booth with artist Samantha Lamb! Collected Thread boasts a Valentine's Special, plus fantastic jewelry and accessories for that special lady.

Then on to DNA Galleries for featured artist Alex Despain, jewelry by Moi, local art and accessories, plus fresh flowers to woo that special someone. DNA Galleries will also be hosting the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition promoting Momentum, OKC's art exhibition for artist's age 30 and younger. Momentum is coming up March 5-6th!

Over at Coffy's Café, enjoy local talent at open mic night

Then head on Shop Good for live music by the Grown-Ups and featured artwork.

Bad Granny's is having an open house & live music by Sleeper. Hit up Bad Granny's Bazaar for that funky find!

Be sure to stop by Chaparney for an open house, then down Gatewood to JuJu Gallery to "Charm your Valentine with Voodoo Valentines and Parlor Games".

Celebrate the Grand Opening of Warpaint Clothing Company, Plaza District's newest retail business boasting Native American style fashion, screen printed tees and more. There will be plenty of celebratory events at the opening, so stop by and see what Warpaint has to offer!

At Lyric on the Plaza, you could be one of the first in the country to see Snapshots, a brand new musical with a brand new concept from celebrated composer & lyricist Stephen Schwartz. Along with book writer David Stern, Mr. Schwartz has woven together treasured songs from his musicals past to tell the enchanting story of a couple who have fallen out of love. But when they come across photographs that stir up joyous memories of the past, their many years together come alive in front of them. You'll recognize favorites from Wicked, Pippin, Godspell, Children of Eden, and Rags among many more musical gems, all with Schwartz's own revised lyrics that beautifully tell this heartwarming, romantic story.

To top the night off, Paula & Co. Realtors are hosting the Lover's Ball! Bust out the 80's prom dress for a Plaza-style prom complete with balloon arch for awkward prom photos to remember LOVE on the Plaza forever! There will be punch, music, dancing, and sappy love song karaoke!
